One Vision

One Family, Flourishing Together

A household map for visible growth

One Vision is for the household more than the individual. It is about setting an unshakeable foundation, your walled garden, from which to launch into shared adventures; and much more.

Adventure means setting out individual and shared aims and visions, but these come with risks and costs. One Vision is where these aims are considered, negotiated and planned, so you can determine up front whether the household can carry them, or not.

One Vision is also a place where you can plan and build a home you’d both be delighted with; and where you can connect more deeply with your spouse.

Walled Garden screen showing the household pulse and shared overview
Walled Garden

The Walled Garden is the household’s shared view. The pulse shows how the two of you are. Under it sit both sets of basic needs, your aims, and any negotiation either of you has raised. A check-in starts here.

“Either of you” keeps the solo case. If only one person has opened the app, the other column can still say “not scored yet” without the sentence having lied.

Check-in screen with Physiology and Safety sliders
Check-in

A short look at your own basic needs: body, safety, belonging. You score what is true now, then it locks. The other person can see the result. They cannot edit it. Review/change it when necessary: if something suddenly affects your sleep-anxiety or stress, your basic needs take a dive, the household will feel it.

Aims screen showing a personal aim with what it asks of the household
Aims

The one or two big aims on your mind, each with the steps that get you there. An aim is yours. What it will cost the household is stated here, and that cost is what goes to the Aims Review. If you cannot say the cost, you’re not ready to start it yet.

Negotiate screen with topics for negotiation
Negotiate

A household matter either of you has raised, needing a decision. You can agree to implement it, change it, or decide the house will not bear it. Nothing here is agreed until both of you have said so. One person can open it. They cannot close it alone.

Shared Meaning screen
Meaning

The culture of this house: the moments you both protect, the roles you are willing to back, the goals you share, and the words that mean the same thing to both of you. Each of you answers alone. The answers are shown together only when both are done. A difference is something to discuss-openly and honestly.

Aims Review screen asking whether the household can bear the aim
Aims Review

A time to review the weight of the aim the household is being asked to carry; and, a set time to review the aims already in the house. Is the step still the right one, is the cost still true, does it stay or does it stop? Finishing a step is noted. Missing one is not a streak. An aim that no longer fits is ended here, not left to fade.
